Rules and Regulations

All participants will be judged on appearance by photograph and lifestyle change through a one page written essay.

 

The photo will represent the physical transformation achieved as a result of lifestyle change including physical activity and diet.

 

The essay portion of the contest will represent the personal transformation (i.e. mental, spiritual, and emotional changes) as a result of participating in the New Year, New You contest.

 

A panel of health and wellness industry experts will choose the candidate who has undergone the greatest physical and personal transformation in the twelve (12) week period.

 

Participants must complete an application that can be found at www.newyearnewyoucontest.com or at participating Complete Nutrition locations.  Participants who submit incomplete applications will be automatically disqualified.  Applications must be accompanied by two (2) full body photographs.  One photograph must be a front view and one photograph must be a back view of the full body.  These photos will be used as the “Before” photos to compare against the

“After” photos that will be submitted at the end of the twelve (12) week contest.  The photos will confirm the physical transformation of the participant.

 

The judging panel must be able to see the complete physical appearance of the participants.  Therefore, swimwear, bikini, or similar clothing is encouraged to provide adequate judgment of the physical attributes.  Nude photos will not be accepted and will result in disqualification.

 

Photos will not be returned.  All photos become property of Healthy Outlook Worldwide and Complete Nutrition.  Only the top three (3) winning participants’ photos will be used for marketing purposes.  Any participant whose photo is determined by the panel to be false or fraudulent will result in automatic disqualification.

 

If submitting a digital or electronic photo file, it is requested to have a date published on the photo.  Date stamped photos will ensure that participants are qualified for the contest.  All electronic entries must be submitted to newyearnewyou@healthyoutlookworldwide.com prior to the deadline to register.

Prize money is subject to change dependant on the number of entries received.

 

Participants choosing to register in person will turn in completed application and photos to the participating Complete Nutrition stores.

 

Deadlines

Completed applications, two (2) full body photographs, and $25.00 application fee must be turned in or submitted by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2012.  Entry fee must be paid in full prior to this deadline or the participant will be disqualified from contest.  No exceptions.  Cash, check, and credit card are accepted.  Bounced checks are subject to an additional NSF fee of $25.00.

 

“After” photographs (two (2) full body photographs – front and back view) and the one page written essay must be submitted by FRIDAY APRIL 27, 2012.  Essays should be no longer than one page in length.  The essay portion of the contest is worth 50% of the calculation in determining a winner.  The essay should be no longer than 500 words in length.

 

Essays should include the following:

  • The steps the participant took to make the physical and personal lifestyle changes.
  • The impact these changes have had on the participant’s lifestyle over the twelve (12) week period.
  • The participant’s plan to maintain and continue the lifestyle changes following the contest.
  • The obstacles overcome and the life changing experience of the contest.
